At The Migrant Journey ("we", "the Coach") we are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with care, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Dutch data protection law.

2. Data we collect
When you join Club Echando Raíces, contact us, book a call, attend an event or hire coaching, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone / WhatsApp number
- Whether or not you live in the Netherlands (to send you relevant information)
- Payment data (processed by Mollie — we do not store card information)
- Information you voluntarily share during sessions (session notes, personal context)
- Basic website analytics data (cookies)
3. Why we collect this data (legal basis)
- To perform the coaching agreement with you (art. 6.1.b GDPR)
- To meet legal obligations — invoicing and accounting (art. 6.1.c GDPR; 7-year record-keeping under Dutch tax law)
- To improve our services (legitimate interest — art. 6.1.f GDPR)
- To send you the newsletter, event and workshop invitations of the Club, only if you have given explicit consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR)
4. How long we keep your data

5. Who we share your data with
Only with providers who need your data to deliver the service. Each operates under GDPR compliance:
- MailerLite — mailing list, newsletter and the Club Echando Raíces
- Weeztix — event ticket sales
- Calendly — clarity-call booking
- Mollie — payment processing
- WhatsApp / Meta — community and communication
- Hostinger — website and email hosting
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics
We never sell, rent or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request the deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict the processing of your data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing)
- Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl)

7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data: storage with GDPR-compliant providers, access restricted to the Coach only, and regular review of our security practices.
8. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies for its operation (language preferences, session) and Google Analytics cookies to understand anonymously how the site is used and improve it. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. If we add marketing cookies in the future, we will request your explicit consent via a banner.
9. Children's data
The Migrant Journey is aimed at adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you discover that a minor has provided data without parental consent, contact us to delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top indicates the current version. Significant changes will be communicated by email to subscribers.
